Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using ToolGrit ("the Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time, and continued use of the Site constitutes acceptance of any changes.

Description of Service

ToolGrit provides free and paid online calculators and productivity tools for HVAC technicians, electricians, industrial workers, and DIYers. Tools run client-side in your browser unless otherwise noted.

We may offer premium features, downloadable reports, or subscription-based services ("Pro Features") in the future. Any paid offerings will have additional terms presented at the time of purchase.

User Responsibilities

• You agree to use the Site and its tools for lawful purposes only.
• You will not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or redistribute our tools or content without written permission.
• You will not use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Site in a manner that degrades service for other users.
• If you create an account for paid features, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.

Calculator Accuracy & Disclaimer

Our calculators and tools are provided for informational and estimation purposes only. While we strive for accuracy, results should not be treated as a substitute for professional engineering, electrical design, or licensed contractor work.

Always verify results with a qualified professional before making purchasing, installation, or safety decisions. ToolGrit is not responsible for any damages, losses, or injuries resulting from reliance on calculator outputs.

Intellectual Property

All content on ToolGrit - including text, graphics, logos, tool interfaces, and software - is the property of ToolGrit or its licensors and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

Payments & Billing

If you purchase Pro features or subscriptions, payments are processed securely through Stripe. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.

Prices are listed in US Dollars and are subject to change. We will notify existing subscribers of price changes at least 30 days in advance. All charges will appear on your statement as "ToolGrit" or similar.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ToolGrit shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Site or its tools. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Site or paid services at our discretion, including for violations of these terms. If we terminate your paid subscription without cause, you will receive a prorated refund for the unused portion.

Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before pursuing formal legal action.
